Our Mission

The Women’s Forum on Afghanistan strives to ensure that Afghan women’s perspectives are meaningfully integrated into key regional and international decision-making related to Afghanistan. Led by Afghan women, the Women’s Forum advocates for the recognition and protection of their rights on the global stage, as both Afghans—within the country and in exile—and the international community navigate an increasingly complex political landscape.

ADVOCATING FOR AFGHAN WOMEN’S INCLUSION AND LEADERSHIP AND AFFIRMING THAT THEIR RIGHTS ARE KEY TO PEACE—AND A TEST OF THE WORLD’S COMMITMENT TO ACHIEVING IT.

Our Vision

We envision a just and inclusive Afghanistan where women are equal actors and decision-makers across all arenas: in education, politics, business, and society. We advocate for Afghan women and girls with the aim of dismantling cultural, social, and structural barriers to equality, so that women of all generations and backgrounds can thrive and contribute meaningfully to our country’s future.

INFLUENCE

international, regional, and national stakeholders, launching calls to action and encouraging them to commit to inclusion and equality.

IMPACT

local and global decision-making arenas to ensure Afghan women and girls rise with due access to equal rights and freedoms.
